What's the power rating of my car?

As yet, I haven't done any mods to the engine, only the styling. Knowing me i'll never touch the engine but I wondered which version it is?

    The car is a 1.8 SXi on a 2000 W reg.

Is it the 115 or 125BHP one?

    I wasted a Golf TDI 150 and they're supposed to have a 0-60 of 8.4s so i'm guessing mine's the 125BHP?

It will be the 115 one, I believe the cross over date was Oct 2000 so anything before that will be 115, anything after should be 125

Yeah true... 10BHP isn't a lot. It's a fast car so i'm not too bothered anyhow.

Them Golf TDI PD 150s are rapid as...
forgottin' the 0-60 time they've got as much torque as the Titanic and through the gears I'd imagine givin' it some legs it'd murder a 1.8... and probably my 2.2 as well!

Yep well I definitely beat it

Both set off from the lights and I was in the outside lane as well as it's a corner onto the motorway.

The night previous to to that I beat off (just I have to add) a 1.8T new shape Passat and then the next day a TT!

Seems German cars are no match for my Astra

I took the TT on for a reason... I bought my Astra after reading an Auto Express review that said the 1.8 Astra was faster than an Audi TT 150.

On the subject of the Golf though... I won't be racing the next GTi! 200BHP!

I actually 'wasted' a Golf GTi 1.8 T, and that was through the gears right up to 80mph on a short stretch, he was pulling away slightly after 80 but we had to stop for a roundabout...don't underestimate the 1.8s
