18's straight on 19's or above and you will have to relocate the rear bumper bracket.

biggest size fitted to a G is actually the astra coupe by Max Power "project sham"

Mine where 7.5 x 19's ET 45 you will need to grind down the rear bumper bracket and relocate it for a decent drop and roll the arches completely flat. With that done you should get a good 50mm drop.

20's are possible but to be honest where more work than I thought!! You can get them on ok but to make the car drivable is a different story.

Also there is a lot more room on a coupe than a hatch. If you go for 19's be prepared to compramise on a few things To me thats part of the fun though.

Ah, 19's go on no probs... A little scrapage here and there, mainly rear bumper bracket...

I didn't think project sham's looked much bigger than my 19's...

Dunno about the compromising part Mat, ok maybe with 20's. But the 19's have made mine much better to drive... With the 17's the traction control was pretty jittery... Now take off's much improved, all i need now is a phase 3 conversion...

Completley agree on the TC mine never came on at all with the 19's on and it held the road better I meant the compramise was that you will still get a bit of Rubbing with 4-5 people in the car no matter what you do

Cheers MatG, so 19 inch x 8.5 wide won't go with a 45mm drop? :P. What i was wondering was the front really, what can they do with the plastic arch liner?.

8.5'' would mean loads of arck work and extending them to fit the wheels.

You would have to lose the arch liners also.
