    Mk4 sri max bhp with out turbo???

    hi just brought my first sri today and cant wait to start moding it but i was wondering what is the max bhp you can get 2.0 sri to with out adding a turbo and how ud do it ie chip,exhaust,k&n filter and so forth any help would be much appreciated

    I have seen a 1.6 engine producing about 250 without a turbo from a company called SBD, they do things for the 2litre also depending on what you want!

    Air filter, exhaust would be a start, then more advanced stuff like 4 branch outlet manifold, headwork, cams, throttle bodies just depends on a budget really.

    think bttc got 350bhp, but dont quote me on that

    you can get 200bhp safely as someone on here has done it (But I cant mention his name or he will tell me off again ).

    ok thanx dont wanna do anything thats gonna damage the engine tho
    but thanx for the info as soon as i get some money gonna go get a magnex exhaust and then find out what the best airfilter is for it

    There's an article out the on the web and someone has got over 700bhp (IIRC) out of a X20XEV used in a drag racer. It's pretty much down to how much you wann spend.

    Yes.........its true, 200bhp is easily available if you have around £3k!!!

    And it will see off standard SRi, and GSi turbos all day long!!!! No lag!!!

    QED are the people to speak to for OTT tuning on the X20XEV engine. The BTCC cars and the drag racer use the Z22se unit.

    If you have the money, Sodemo in France (www.sodemo.com) will get you 270bhp from a normally aspirated 2.2 engine.
