    full blown service

    ok, my astra coupes got 56k on the clock, and its definately needs a cambelt change, what do u guys think i'l need to buy from vauxhall for a full blown service? i need a list together so i can go with my dad to get the stuff(he gets discount)

    most of the stuff i'l do myself, my brother in-laws gona help me with the cambelt and rollers (hes a mechanic for london police)

    im not to bothered about service history stamps as my car didnt come with any :x , and i plan to keep it for another 5yrs

    also its a 1.8 16v(the one with the paper eliment oil filter

    You will need 1 gallon of oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, your spark plugs get changed every 40000miles, pollen filter and also check your brake pads front and rear.

    as per what paul said plus:

    brake fluid change + coolant change.

    when doing timing belt do idle pulleys, tensioner and water pump, this will save money in the long run especally when you keeping the car.
