    Boot install problems....

Basically I am trying to sort some sort of boot build out in time for trax, however for the first part i need to make a false floor, but I am haveing ALOT of trouble getting it to fit into the corners etc..... anyone done this before? how did you go about working out the shape etc??

My wood works skills are not up to much, not good but not bad..... so I am looking for a simple solution!!

Draw round the mat in the boot onto some mdf.

Then try out and cut till it fits exactly maybe leave a couple of mm extra on each edge before you trim it to size but carpeting it will make it fit snugly if you go a few mm to small.

Same as above use the carpet as a template, but make it slighty smaller.

I had to cut mine it 2 to make it fit.

It will help if you split the floor into 2 pieces.
Helps to get it in easier.

Yeh do a large center section with two small side sections. It will fit in better and if you raise the floor these can be used to hid small tools ect

As an alternative you can always use tyre weld stuff, which inflates and seals your puncture to get you home.
