Thoughts for next bodywork to car.....

I'm at work, I'm bored so just pondering over what needs done to the astra:

    1. Drivers side rear wheel arch is begining to rust again.... already been painted 3 times, so this time a section of it needs to be cut off and replaced.

    2. Rear splitter needs trimmed slightly to allow exhaust to sit straight.

    3. Front splitter has been hit off quite a lot and the paint is coming off right at the bottom.... though I'm using this a possible excuse to change to another front bumper all together, funds permitting.

Phoned up RJs and they reckon that the first two would cost in the region of £300, which seems reasonable to me as long as the arch does not brake again ( I've prob spent this much on the arch up till now anyway ).
The rear splitter isn't that big a deal, but they said they'd do it anyway, atleast it'll neaten off the rear.

As for the front, well to be fair I dont really care about the front splitter being damaged slightly. Though a GSi front bumper would look cool in Polar Sea blue.

Anyway, I'm just ranting. Coupe headlights, sort the arch and sort the rear splitter and maybe a new front bumper. £300 notes for the arch and the splitter seem reasonable to you guys?

    Pointless ramblings over.

Sounds god to me considering its repair, paint and labour. Also you know you will get a good job done

Must admit i am suprised on the rust side of things though!!

It's a 1998 S plate. Had rust on the arches around November 2002, got it repaired a few times, but kept coming back, always on the rear driver side wheel arch. Pain in the arse like, its not like the car is old!

Fixed on problem today though, got new springs put on the back to raise the ride height so that when I have passengers it doesn't scrub or hit. However the springs haven't settled yet and it looks crap. Not impressed, though it still handles very well, will give it a couple of weeks. Is it worth putting a heavy weight in the rear to help the springs compress quicker???
