yet another wheel question, but with a differance . . .

    ok lads / lasses,

when you look through your front wheels at the discs and pads, what sort of gap have you got between the spring clip on the outside pad and the back of your spokes ???

when i look through mine, bearing in mind i've just put new discs and pads on, there's about 2mm clearance !!!! and only about 0.5 - 1mm clearance between the back of he outside pad and the back of the alloy (the face that meets / butts up against the hub) !!!!!!!!
    If at first you don't succeed . . . . . . CHEAT !!!!!

i don't know much about this but when kwik fit did mine a while ago, they had trouble getting the spring clips to stay in, they kept poppin out and sticking out, anyway long story short, i ended up slightly bending them coz kwik-fit wouldn't, and now they are in possition fine and where they should be, no problems. I dont know if this is the same as your problem but if it is it worked for me

i havent got a problem, just wondering how close the carrier / pads etc were to everyone elses alloys, look a little too close on mine me thinks !

i had the same problem when i changed the pads, i just bent the spring clip with a pair of pliers until it stayed in the correct positon. glad to see it wasnt just me that had to do this though !!
