    spigot rings ?????

i've just bought some new alloys for my g, this might sound like a stupid question but : -

a packet of black plactic spigot rings came with the wheels, these clip into the inside of the wheels where it sits on the hub, im summising there for centering the wheels on the hubs ??

the main question is, do they take much weight or do the bolts carry all the weight ?? being plastic i cant imagine them lasting long. can i get a metal set from anywhere ??

They're designed for the job !
Your wheel bolts will hold the wheel in place.

Technically this should be in Technical

Don't worry about it, someone may move it over.

Remember to keep an eye on these rings if you ever change a wheel.
I've heard they're not too easy to get hold of again !

The plastic ones are plenty strong enough, but aluminium is stronger and less likely to fall out if you a drop of Loctite on them when you fit them to the wheels

I had this when i got me 17's off me mate. He's got a prelude..

I had to get Vuaxhall ones from me local wheel place, got 4 rings(plastic) and a full set of new bolts for £18! Not bad eh!

Thing is you don't just need to rings tailored to the car you need the wheel make ones too!

That's quite true what Alan says, I had Antera alloys on my last car and they actually have an aluminium spigot ring on their wheels
