    crazy weird noise....

i let my sis borrow my car for shoppin, when she got back i went to put the car in the drive, started the car and this strong vibrating sound appeared!i got propper sh1tted! the best way to describe it was, imagine your mobile vibrating on and off on a metal surface! sorta like vibrate*pause*vibrate for about 10 seconds, the sound was coming from the drivers side of the engine bay, at the same time traction control light was blinkin! quikly opened the bonnet with engine on, and it dissapeared!

what could have caused this :?: :?:
the car was on the kirb(bout 3" high, with driverside wheel on the road.
it has totally gone, been in and out the car all day, paranoid as ****!!

    what do you peeps think?

    cheers

ow yer, its a 1.8 coupe

    Is it still doing it?

Checked the headshield for the zorst, it might be hitting the gear linkage.

As for the light flashing?????? Got me on that.

If it's still doing it it might be best to go to Vaux to tech2 it. See what the light said.

had a look everywhere when the car got cold, everything seemed as normal
how does a t/c sensor work?does it have any moving parts, that could have got loose?

there wasn't a wheel off the ground and rotating, confusing the traction control? I get that sometimes turning into a steep driveway if a rear wheel lifts, the abs or tc gets a bit befuddled.

    Wheel Sensor

It could be a faulty or damaged wheel speed sensor, there's one on each wheel. Or maybe the steering angle sensor which is also linked to the TC dydtem.
