    Turbo engine help!

Picked up my new Astra GSI Turbo a few weeks ago, so far have done 550 miles, only to get home and find that while I was waiting for the turbo to cool down normally about 30secs or so. I hear this pneumatic drill like noise coming from my beloved car, did not even think it was my car to start with as it was that bad, seems to do it after the engine has been idling for just over a minute or so. Dam, why does it always happend to me! Has anybody else had anything similair happen to there turbo engines? Or is this just a noise this engine sometimes makes.
Taking it in tomorrow anyway, but I am not a happy bunny!

Does your car have climate control??
My sister's Golf made a terrible noise and the car started to rumble when she switched off the engine turned out to be the climate control!

Funny you should say that, when I was trying to recreate the noise I was turning the aircon/not climate control on and off and then the noise re-appear, just not sure if it was just coincidence or not, going into the garage tomorrow, its just I am on holiday for 3 weeks and had planned on driving round Wales! Now I could be car less!!!

Must admit that I have never heard that. Had the Air con running while the engines been running at idle for some minutes and it has never made anything like that ever. Mines now covered 4k so I would have thought I may have heard it by now. - sorry !

Took the car in first thing this morning. It was not making as much noise as it was yesterday, but the guy there recons that it is normal. Took my sister out in it today, pulled up and it did not sound to good. 600 miles in it now, so I said to the guy down Lookers there about having another look when it gets the oil changed at 1000miles. Am going to take it out now for another run, to see how it goes.

    Oil change at 1000 miles ??? - don't do it !

The engine will not have sealed properly at that, Wait for 3000 and then change.
