    Irmscher Pedal Covers, Stupid Question

    Hi

I have a set of Irmscher Pedal covers and am going to fit them in bout an hour.

Do I need to take off the rubber pedal covers alraady on the pedals or do I put the Irmscher ones on over them.
I presume I have to take them off but I though I would ask anyway.

Any other advice for fitting them or hints or tips or anything?

Actually now that I look at the Pedals I think I need to leave the rubber covers on the break and clutch but take it off the Accelerator pedal!

i would also like to know how you would go about fitting different pedals.

Think i could do with some soon as i've done everything else i can think of and afford.

Well to fit the Irmsher foot pedals you have to remove the rubbers from all the pedals. You may wish to start with the clutch pedal first as this is made from nylon and easy to drill, where as the brake and accelerator pedals are made from steel.

Stick some news paper in the footwell or you will find metal fileings are a bugger to hoover from your carpets!

    1. Place an irmsher cover over desired position on pedal.

    2. Mark using pencil where the pedal is to be drilled through the holes in cover.
    3. Remove cover and place an object behind the pedal to stop it moving back.
    4. Drill holes through pedal in the marked positions.

    5. Place cover over pedal and fit with the supplied nuts and bolts.

    6. Cut the bolts down in size as close to the pedal as possible.

    On to the next!

Important, you must cut the bolts down as they stick out so much as standard they stop the pedal from being totally depressed.
    Cheers Rich.

I can only vouch for the irmsher covers as I have fitted them my self, they are a perfect fit and need the rubbers removed. As far as the spacing goes the irmsher covers are only about 2mm wider and longer than the origonal pedal so you just need fit them evenly and the spacing will automatically be correct.
    Cheers Rich.

As it happens I have just fitted a set to my Coupe tonight.

Yes you do need to leave the rubber on as per the instructions.

As for fitment they are spot on. As you would expect from Irmscher.

    LOL @ Turbo

Lads did you cut the screws before you put them on because I have 1 pedal fitted and its proving to be a ******* of a job to cut the screw once fitted.
