    Tyres!

Ok I know I posted this just before the board got hacked, but I've forgotten what the result was!!!

What tyres do people recomend for a Turbo Coupe??? (215 40 17).

It's got Dunlop Sp8000 on it at the moment, done about 5000 miles and needs 2 new front tyres already!!! (And that's without me driving it hard!!!)

I don't care about the price I just want something with some grip that will last more than 5k miles

Eagle F1 GSD3 has a good review on the tirerack.com site... I'm swinging towards them on my next set of rubber.

Oh, and rotate your tyres.. they'll last longer... I've had my Michelin MXM (stock for the 16") for 37,000km and still got about 2-3mm left on them. (These are tyres with a UTQG rating of 140 A A which is super soft... GSD3 has 280 AA A). I'm actually surprised as to how long it has lasted.

is it ok to "rotate" the tyres on new astras?

the vaux garage did this to my mum's new renault laguna and it mucked up the computer, it thought there was no wheels on the car and went mental all the time.
hopefully vaux cars aint this advanced in the un-necesary technology field.

The best jobs are done when you do it yourself... read into it however you like.

Btw, it only takes maybe 1.5 hrs really slowly to do it.

Bin 'em and get either Goodyear Eagle F1s or Toyo Proxes.

If you rotate the type, make sure you get the rolling direction correct.
