That ebay post specs states that the radio works on US frequecies so unless the Nak's can switch to Euro frequencies than the tuner won't work. Last time I played with one the frequecy's could not be adjusted to Euro frequecies so the only way to get one to work in the UK was to use a Frequency Adjuster, which means that the frequecy displayed on the radio does not show the actual frequency that you are listening too.

Not sure but I seem to remeber someone having had one of these a while back. I reckon they might shed some more light on this.

basil - it's not that the tuner won't work full stop, rather that it'll only pick up odd frequencies...

ie i can pick up radio one (99.1fm) on my headunit but were it on 99.2 i wouldn't be able to.

my apologies if that is what you meant

Yup, that is what I meant. You will be lucky to pick up one or even two channels without the frequency adjuster.

    right then

i've tuned in three... but i never listen to radio really, and when i do it's usually radio 1 which i get crystal clear.

i went for the american one on the basis that it saved me £230 and i never use the radio so it wasn't important to me!

btw can i just ask you mate, how much would it usually cost to get a motorised screen headunit fitted? my mate just got one (a clarion, think he got it for £1100) and his wires are a bit screwy from the last bloke who fitted the head unit so he thought he'd get it fitted professionally... he called a mobile fitter who wanted like £200, then halfords who wanted £70, then on my advice a local car shop i use loads who want £40. so which is the more normal price?
