    Looking on the bright side - Got my boost gauge pod finished

    While the car is at the dealers with the broken clutch I can't (obviously) finish any of the jobs which I started before it died. At least I have been able to be patient and do a decent job of painting the housing of the boost gauge pod.

    It was originally black and a textured finish. Then someone pointed out that it was a shame it didn't match the silver turbo timer. Soooo . . .

    Lots of wet and dry to get rid of the texture and several coats of Lucerne Silver, each one flatted down and now it looks like this



    I've kept the base in black, to blend on the dash top better.

    All I need now is a car

    Now that shows patience !
    I normally cant wait for the first coat to dry.
