You need to have a solenoid button added to the car to open the boot. Think you can pick one of these kits up from PVD for £33

I seen how Rob opens his boot and I must say it quite a smart way of doing it

robs is not on a solenoid but will be in the future i think. He has a resessed lock behind his number plate. It looks brilliant and its there to make sure he does not get locked out of his car, as the door handles have been delocked also.

The solenoid does not effect the central locking and the button can not really be put anywhere either as the boot when smoothed off an the astra G is very heavy!! When i had mine done i had it put inside the petrol cap, so i could hold it with one hand and press the button.

But as i had my petrol cap removed and replaced behind the light i got it to run f my alarm. So i could gram the boot once poped.

    Smoothing

I was thinking of doing this too, how much to get it done tho (roughly)

I was thinking of adding some little hydraulic rods to open the boot (for when i get the install cracking - any ideas anyone?

it really depends on the body shop - i think its usually about £300-400 tho.

just make sure you know the bodyshop well enough to trust them - if its not a perfect job then it can be nasty
