What make of head unit do you prefer?

What make of head unit do you prefer? I do like Alpine for sound but they still look the same as they did about 5-6 year ago, I also like Pioneer as I will be getting a silver one soon.

Out of this list above I guess I would chose Alipne and Clarion, but Personally my favorites are Eclipse(1st choice), Becker and Nakamichi (joint second with Becker).

I have not even heard of those makes, I must be behind on my audio / ice
I have a silver Clarion at the moment and it has some cool graphics ie stick men running about, camels chasing the stick men, and a tortoise rolling a ball over his pal, not bad for a Clarion.

I've got an Alpine at the mo, because of the steering wheel controls. But my ultimate head was the one in my old car Nakamichi CD-500

This is what you really want, but they are a few pennies.

mmm forgot about that one Eddy. But this Eclipse will do me nicely, although by the time you add on all the bits it needs it too costs a bit much (Very similar spec to the Denon I might add, but looks less cool.

And one last one this Pany beasty, when I heard this I was blown away. And yes that is a tube you all see!

    Alpine ;-)

Maybe the look is not very "fun" but it's functionnal and I prefer "quality" than having dummy animations, like dolphins swimming on my headunit display (I seldom look at the screen when I drive ) !

Nakamichi is THE reference for car audio quality and performance for years, but quite expensive and this time, I don't like the look of their headunit, too "austere" for me...
