    Insurance

As you all know I'm trying to get an astra but one thing i have noticed is how its SO much cheaper to insure an astra than most cars! For instance my 323 (1323cc-G reg) costs me £1000 UNDER my mum's name but a 1.6 Astra mk2 of the same age AND mk4 cost about £100 under that! Who are you lot insured by and how nice are they about mods? I heard adrian flux were right safe about modding, any experience guys?!

I've justed changed to a-flux, good on mods, but heard horror stories on there claims department.

Was with express insurance, a shit company and I hope they read this, and you can quote me on it.

I've always found Sterling at Adrian Flux to be one of the cheapest (although don't apply on-line, it could take years for a response)!!!

I've found that they're OK with mods such as exhausts, wheels, suspension etc... but, if you wan't to do any major engine tuning, they're a bit iffy and your premium may rise significantly !!!

    Hope this helps.

I'm with Norwich Union Direct as well although I'm 22 and paying £815 for my SRi with mods declared.

I know it was another £75 for my alloys

£2200 with CIS! dont let price put you off, its cause im 17!

    they're very good for mods:

-Any bodywork mods you want, no extra charge (unbeatable!)
-up to 10bhp engine mods, no extra charge (doesnt cover much but would get u induction kit, exhaust maybe)
-any over 25 driver added onto policy for free (handy for adding family members)

the car was a brand new 1.6 16v SXi (group 5 i think) most quotes was around 3500 so this was very good!
