    Recognise this?

Anyone recognise this engine in the Saab 9-3 2.0t?

nah - no idea - never seen one of those before

If you scrub really hard maybe it says GM under Saab

But it explains why GM arnt too concerned that sales of the Omega are flagging.
why do today what you can...... I'll finish this later

    2958cc was 175BHP @ 4000rpm, 370Nm (273lb.ft.) @ 1900rpm NOW 230BHP/469Nm (344.9lb/ft)!! www.IUsedToOwnTwoAstras.com

Plus rear wheel drive, much better ride, better sound-proofing. Toys are the same now, except the Bose sound system from the Elite.

Yeah thats the same unit as the Vauxhall 2.2 n/a lump.

Odd aint it how Vauxhall decided to use the Z20LET instead of this one, and I think that was the original engine lined up for the VX200 Turbo iirc.

Heat problems ruled it out of the VX220 Turbo, and in 2.0T form it's not as potent as the Z20LET from the paper specs I've seen.

Vaxhall/Opel use an identical engine in the Vectra SRi Turbo, but only run the turbo at half boost, where as Saab run it at full power.

Maybe they know something Saab don't.....

More than likely that the Vectra with one of them engines in it at full chat wont fit into the model range, it would be quicker than the GSi.

I think looking at the ability of the 2.2 against the aging X20XEV id prefer the Saab unit anyday.
