Are these the same? i.e. would pistons and rods advertised for the C20LET be fine for my Z20LET?

I am considering these:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180097738285

Does that seem like a good deal? I know the Wossner pistons are good, but what about the PEC rods?

The ad states a compression drop from 9:1 to 8.5:1 for C20LET, but the Z20LET is 8.8:1 as standard. Do the Z20LET piston have a deeper dish, or is the difference in compression a result of a change to the design of the head? Obviously, if this is the piston that is different, my compression will drop to 8.5:1. If it is head releated, it will drop to 8.3:1.

What effect would such a drop in compressioin ratio have on performace if the map is unadjusted?

Cheers.

Mike

Look very nice Mike - can't answer your question though unfortunately. It looks like a reasonable assumption that they are the same - why no ask the seller the question?

If you use those wossners in a zlet then the CR will be 8.8:1, if no head or block skimming has been done (standard gasket).
The head CC of the zlet is smaller than the clet. approx 4cc from memory. You can get 2cc out of the zlet head just by cleaning up the really poor casting marks.
