As per the title, has anyone used them for a Z20LET remap? I appreciate that the prefered tuners are Courtney, Regal etc but as I am in Northern Ireland and a trip to the mainland is not practical for me at the moment the local superchips dealer appears to be my only option.

Thanks in advance.

I would use a Regal or Courtenay map my self as they work and map the cars all day long, Superchip would have wrote the programme and thats it

Why not post your ECU to Regal for bench mapping instead? Personally I'd much prefer this route than a superchip.

I have a friend who used to have an Octavia vRS (1.8 20vT) and superchipped it .... tho he RR'd it before and after and said the superchip gave 4bhp (approx, it was a few years back now).

Thanks for the replies to date, will have to think very carefully about this one.

You can go to any superchips dealer and ask for the Thorney motor sport map. I'd phone up thorney and speak to him as he can recommend which of his maps will be good on ur setup.

I have always had superchips on my previous cars (non turbo) and i have been very happy with the results  .

So happy im getting my astra re-mapped next Thursday by a mobile superchips engineer, there is a group for us having it done so I get it a lot cheaper

Thanks for that dazerc, had a brief chat with them and said the superchip dealer can do that for me. Definitely seems to be the way to go. Does it improve driveability/throttle response? (Forgot to ask Thorney when on the phone with them)

well when i had my remap you can definitly feel its alot faster. 5th gear on the motorway is amasing you just put ur foot down and your flying no need to drop down a gear.

Do you not have any tunning companies that can offer a live map? This in my opinion is far superior than a generic map from a mainstream tuner.

Not locally that are known to me. Rather get a generic map from a trusted source that a custom one from a dubious mapper. If I was on the mainland I would certainly travel to one of the established mappers. As it is the superchip option with a Thorney map seems to be the best option I have open to me.
