Just wondering has any1 had any dealings with the superchips or tuning boxes with the Dti's? For the vauxhall's. Mines a 2.0 Dti 16v btw

I made enquiries about this for my car (1.7DTI) and this is what I was told from another site:

The tuning box is a set maping system where the superchip can take advantage of other mods done to the car be sure if your going to chip or use the tuning box try and upgrade your intercooler at the same time that way you will see a much greater affect from both the units.
If you want the get the max from your engin and mods I would recomend you start looking at MOTEC systems,
Down side is that the entry level system will set you back a wopping £1000 of your hard earned readys. But i would rate this as one of the best systems out there!!! You can fine tune almost evey engin component to an inch of it's life.

One thing to watch out for is whether or not your car has a low pressure engine. Mine has and it means that the superchip will only give a 14bhp increase as opposed to the usual 30bhp.

my mrs has a TDi golf which we took to AmD for a one click box, and it is amazing it has completely transformed the car

My Sport Ed`s(2.0DTi) had superchip treatment.before 109.7bhp/174lb/ft
after 129.7bhp/191lb/ft.BIG difference to car much smoother, quicker and better to drive, whilst retaining fuel consumption @55-60ish/mpg.Vanaaken plug in box thing is also good I believe,as is rossiters
version(also plug in box)

Go for one of the plug in boxes that vanaaken do.

Forget superchips, overpriced for what they are.

The van aaken box can be unplugged at service time as well.

Think the web site is www.vanaaken.co.uk.

Remember superchips give you a "key" onto which your original settings are downloaded...... ,and data can be swapped over if/when required.
Yes this method is probably dearer than the plug in boxes, but the programme can,and has in my case been modified to suit. Also I have found superchips aftersales to be excellent as several issues had to be resolved on my vehicle.
