I'm on the look out for an astra turbo coupe. I've just sold my 300bhp Nissan 200SX S14A due to buying a house and not being able to afford 20MPG. :(

I'm looking at the coupe as its got a bit of power and hopefully will be economical.

What MPG are you guys running at various states of tune?

if you drive it like you stole it then it will be worse than 20mpg lol

they are very good on the motorway and you get easy 34mpg+

the last week I have been giving mine a hard time and a rolling session and only got 175miles to the tank but that is the worst I have had it haha. But I do have faulty air flow meter so that wont be helping things.

My state of tune with only round town driving is between 22-24mpg

on the motorway it will cruise at 80-100mph at 34mpg no problems

I get pretty much same as above only i'm running standard power . Average around 25mpg, with town driving during the week then normally a couple of good runs at the weekend.

Thats good MPG for your power!

Bit of mixed driving, 29mpg at the mo.
The consumption is much much worse when the car is cold.
When you start the car first thing in the morning it probably uses twice as much fuel!

I think a more interesting comparison would be people's MPG compared to their average speed.

Although I'm currently getting 19.6MPG (Yes it's dropped a bit more!) My average speed is only 20Mph! (This is over the last 130 miles)

I must drive like my grandad! (Coupe Turbo)

I average 33 mpg, aveage speed 27 mph, simple mods (Ramair panel filter, Iridium plugs, straight through centre section exhaust and Sebring backbox)

Most of the driving is 4 miles to work down country lanes everyday with the occasional long run
