View Full Version : What oil for my Coupe turbo??
Hi,
When I got home this morning the oil level warning came up on the screen. I have been out this afternoon and the dipstick level is on MIN.
It is not due a service until august so what I want to do is top up the oil to get me through until then.
Please can you let me know what oil I need and how much I will need to get it back upto MAX?

hi mate, theres been a fair few discussions on oil type for the z20let, and theres say 50/50 on which people prefer an the general outcome is just goto vauxhall and use their recommended one and you cant go wrong really.
When i did an oil change a few weeks ago, i ended up using most of the bottle, but doubt you'd need that much.
Wil VX just sell me a small bottle for topping it up? Surely it would be cheaper to get it away from there which is why I need to know the type.
According to the service record it was serviced last august so I'm supprised its on MIN now. I got the car in october. I was thinking of taking it for a service now, but its way too early really as its not due till august so 6 months early is too much.
well, i bought a 5litre(i think) bottle of their recommended stuff and a new filter, and i think it came to something silly like £13 so pretty cheap really. As far as im aware they do smaller bottles too.
Ive no longer got my bottle but it was the genuine GM stuff, and it think it was semi-synthetic 10w 40.. if that helps.
