Ive currently got a 2.2 (Z22SE) but i want turbo power!!
so i want to see whats going to be needed...

the c20let seems to have alot more work involved in the conversion such as mounts, pedal box etc... so dont fancy the C20LET

Where as the Z20LET seems to be easier... it uses electronic throttle, like the 2.2 so the pedal box can stay the same... im pretty sure ive read that the mounts are the same?

so all i think i would need are:

Z20LET Engine (head/block etc..)
Z20LET F23 Gearbox (dont think i can use my F23 because of starter motor position???)
Downpipe and turbo
Z20LET ECU
Z20LET LOOM
Z20LET pipework
Key and transponder!?Do you HAVE to have the key and transponder to make the engine run? is there no way around it?

anything else that anyone can think of?

so its take out 2.2, take out loom, take out ECU, fit Z20LET, fit new loom etc... fit ECU connect up... and fire up!

will my Car loom match up with the Z20LET ECU loom? and will my elec. throttle mate up with the Z20LET ECU?

any help would be good! cheers

thought you were selling your car on ebay?

have you thought about stripping your car back to standard and buying an SRi-T? would be more cost effective i reckon

you would need the 308 brakes aswell full exhaust i think as it would be bigger for a turbo

cant afford a SRi-T ... hard to come by too!

atleast this way i can take a few months, get all the bits ready and in place then tackle it proberly around early summer?

fair enough...car looks stunning as it stands anyway, nicer than a stock SRiT 8)

hijack over...back to the original question...

You view of what is needed is very simplistic.....good luck......once yu have started it you may find that the thought of buying an SRI T was better!

Supercharge or Turbo the 2.2. Probbaly cheaper in the long run too. Plus you know what your engines like, buying one is always a lottery imo

How about a Z20NET for a bit of a difference?
