how do you set a actuater up do you close the waste gate as far as it goes then tieten the nuts around if it was was set wrong what would happen ?

close the wastegate, then tighten up the nuts til the wastegate is held closed. then wind up the nuts about another 4-5 threads. but the tension all depends on the type of actuator u have. jsut worth experimenting to see whats best preload.

sound mate its a standard actuater had the dibilas manifold put on but it lost 4psi so wondering if the actuater was set properly

If i remember right dont the ecu control boost anyway?

yes it does, but adjusting the preload on the actuator does have an effect on the boost produced, and in particular the speed at which the boost is made.

ive experiemented quite a lot with this, to the point where the ecu goes into safe mode cus its boosting out of range. adjsuting the preload ive found can increase overboost and the held boost by a couple of psi.
