Sorted this strange error code-by disconnecting the battery, fitting new Air Flow Meter and reconnecting battery the 'Exhaust Emissions Light' has now gone off and stayed off. I know some people have had this error code and couldn't work it out.

The 2 Vaux garages in Northampton charged me £150 to try and fix this, but couldn't work it out, thanks but i'l do this one myself!

ok m8ty P0170 fault location: Fuel trim(ft) bank 1 - malfunction
Probable cause: Intake leak, AIR system (secondary air injection), fuel pressure/pump, injector(s), EVAP canister purge valve, HO2S (heated oxygen sensor)
hope that helps

I had this error code last week - it turned out to be a split in the intercooler to turbo pipe - same problem as you though vauxhall (fareham)couldn't find it:mad:

i know mate, Vauxhall read this out the book of error codes too. They charged £150 for checking all this but couldn't fix it, but i replaced the AFM and the error code has gone. Result. Must have been one of those strange errors
