Has anyone got any ideas on the best way to mount their sub boxes in the boot? It has to be removable but obviously i don't want it to be loose.

I've found mine is big and heavy enough not to move around at all. Just make sure the floor you sit it on is even
Velcro - works a treat mate.
I tried not mounting mine on anything and it kept ripping the cables out the back.
Now the velcro can withstand everthing (even excessive use of the handbrake)
Sometimes it can be a bitch to get off the carpet though and you quite often end up with the carpet coming out aswell but hey ...

I'm using Velcro as well...
Last motor I drilled holes and bolted it to the boot floor - worked fine as well. After puncturing my spare as I drilled straight through it!
What I did with my car is to put the sub in the car and make sure it was up against the back seat. Then I measured the distance from the edge of the carpet to the sub box and took the carpet out (bear with me, this is going somewhere). Then I used the carpet as a template and cut chipboard sheet to make a false floor, with the cutout for the sub (I made it in two pieces, easy to fit). Then I covered them with acoustic carpet and fitted it in the boot. I also screwed my fire extinguisher to the board, it looks neat and 'custom' but can be removed in seconds

i just use a thick non-slip mat underneath. it works!! honest!!
I've just done a simple, but practical false floor for now so I can get at the spare wheel still.
