z20leh transplant

I've noticed a few people talking about doing a z20leh (from VXR) transplant. Was just wondering how much these cost and why people think about doing it really. Wouldn't it be cheaper just to change the turbo and pistons etc. on the let rather than taking out a perfectly good engine?

What are the other benefits from doing this?

I think its because it seems to be generally cheaper to mod the LEH and it can handle more power.

Not sure on the cost, you'd have to PM Scottyboy and beg him to tell you !

Engine is about £1600.

Has a better turbo, better pistons (I think) and oil spray bars as standard

Is that the new price from Vauxhall? Seems very cheap!

Yea thats a new price but pretty sure it doesnt include ancileries (Just sump, block, head and inlet manifold with AFM)
