I have been running a cool running stat for the past 9 months and I am experiencing the coolant light flickering, more so when cold up until the stat has opened. Checked out earth and had the air con all checked, so was going to change the stat and temp sensor but didnt know whether to stick with the "cool runnings" stat or go back to the original vaux one.

Don't know what ur problem is but i have been running a cool thermostat 82 oc 4r the last 2 year's and have not had any problem's wee it. Must admit it sound's like the sensor is on it's last legg's.:(
Do you know where the temp sensor is, May be this is why my coolant light keeps flicking on and off.

Hello mate, so I've read its on the housing of the thermostat. I believe this is behind or near the cambelt cover, but could be wrong.
Hopefully someone on here can provide some pics? Come on chaps you know you want to help :cheesy:
