Evening every1,
I have a 2002 SRI Turbo, and basically the standard backbox that is on it now has pretty much reached the end of the road! Now id love to get a full system on the go, but I simply can't afford it atm, so im thinking im just gonna get a new backbox.
Im not overly keen on getting another standard one - £220 fitted at vaux :s. So my question is does anybody have any reccommendations as to what backbox i should get? Baring in mind i dont really want something that screams, just something with a nice tone.
Thanks every1
JP
Miltek are probably the best suited to this engine, but you also have blue flame exhaust which are on ebay also very good
i still have my miltek 888 rear box here - but i have no idea if coupe and hatch mounting points or box size is different - i expect it probably is

I've got a blueflame one and I'm really pleased with it. It's not to loud just abit deeper than standard

Hi ya Rich,
Are you going to The Fast Show this weekend? I might be interested in your exhaust for a reasonable price.

Ok, cheers guys
i saw them on ebay but i was bit edgy bout em, so they r pretty good then?
thanks agen
yes alfa - i will be there
regarding blue flame - supposedly also make them for scorpion - not overly impressed with mine - under the heavy load its very loud inside the car but its also robbing me of 5-7bhp due to it being a 2" system where milteks is 2.5" - otherwise its fine, fitted perfectly 1st time, nice on tickover but robbing me of power which is my only critcism

hmmmm ok then, thanx for ya help there. i really dont wanna be loosing power like. Excuse my ignorance (still learning a lot u see), but im guessin the 2.5" system would be a better choice then?
£225 on ebay for the blue flame cat bak - seems very cheap?
its around 300 mark from lmf (dont quote me on that) - but the miltex whole shebang from coutenay inc sports cats etc is around a grand - i wish i had gone this route but money was a slight issue and i figured anything was better then what was on the coupe turbo originally - but dont think im not happy entirley - just a few minor niggles from my point of view which if i had known about the pipe size i could have been more happy with my system that i chose for my application - for you it may be fine tho - if your after a remap on a turbo then imo miltek is the best option.
if you do it you should do the precat, sports cat and miltek system, i noticed it was so much smoother
Ive got the Blue flame system and im very impressed with it, the rear box size suits the car and untill you boot it its nearly as quiet as the standard system.
I know Blue flame made the Mongoose systems but didnt know they made the Scorpion systems too, the Blue flame system is 2.5" and has given various people proven performance results.
Blue flame are cheap as they are direct from the manafacturer (no middle man)

Reet then, looks like i may as well just buy a blue flame system, cnt really argue for the price of it!
Thanks for all the help every1
