I need to take out my oe d/v to check if the spring is intact or that its stuck open. Ive managed to get 2 of the bolts out but am struggling with the one nearest the front of the car. There doesnt appear to be enough room plus im thinkin that there wont be enough room to pull it out even if i do manage to get the bolt out.
I need to do this quickly as i need my car for work tomorrow
many thanks in advance to anyone who can help
It's possible, but not easy.
I used one on those tips that you normally put into a screw driver attachment. To loosen it I used an adjustable spanner on it, then did the rest by hand.

I have removed the std dv and replaced it a couple of time's last week (don't ask why) but there is a easyish way and that is 2 get a 5mm allen key and cut about 8mm off the smaller part and it will then fit in behind the a/c pipe's. Still a bit of a pain and time-consuming but it is the easyist way that i have found.

If you have any spare allen bolts lying around, use those when you put it back together - will be easier when they need to come out again.
This job is even more difficult on the newer turbo's as these bolts are put in with thread locker, to make em more difficult to remove, to stop people fitting spacers in them:twisted:
