Could be an oil leak? :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:
Sorry mate, couldn't resist.
Could it be the sump plug washer? Have you worked out where exactly it's leaking from? Maybe give it a bit of a clean up underneath so you can see exactly.

check your intercooler pipes for splits as they tend to collect oil after a while.:)
That far forward points to being a oil return to sump from the turbo pipe leak. Its quite common for these to leak a little, but that much overnight, may mean you have damaged your turbo.
Have a look at the middle of your turbo from the top, and see of you can see any evidence of oil, this may mean you will start the modding a little sooner than planned..........
I'll have a closer look. The car hasn't moved for about a week so its not losing a great deal. Looks like VXR turbo might be on its way sooner than I thought :(
After some further investigations it would appear to be a sump issue:

Whats the damage for one of these things then?

thats exactly the same as my leak when i had it serviced although mine isn't leaking as bad as that ,on the report VXL have put 'Turbo Oil Return Pipe Leaking' wish i'd have got em to fix it but will have to go bk to ave it sorted out now (price £52.25)
looks like it may be a sump gasket, shouldnt be much of a job to do..

Check the sump bolts are tight. On the C20LET they had a habbit of loosening themselves. You might be lucky, as sometimes just nipping them up can fix the problem.

coke will clear the oil patch so not much damage mate  hope its all sorted soon mate, cant you do it yourself? save some pennies?
Do what mike put, and use some gunk to clean the area so you can see exactly where the leak is coming from if it re-occurs.

Cheers Mike - I'll give that a go. :)

Why not:confused: surely its just a ring of bolts and a new gasket aint it, plus an oil change whilst you are at it:confused:

Tell you what, you try it then come back here and answer your own question. ;)

You got me all wrong, I was asking a legitimate question. Seriously, why is it such a difficilt job?????

Because there is limited space, it is difficult to hold the sump and gasket correctly while tightening them up. ALso, the surfaces have to be completely dry and oil free. If you try this yourself (many have) you will almost certainly end up with a sump that is still leaking. You need a lift to get fully under the car, and two pairs for hands. Best left to a garage tbh. Oh - and don't use any gasket sealant on it, just makes things worse.
