my dump valve will not work from the fpr vacuum pipe any ideas????????? could it be a problem with the amm.....is there any way of finding out if it is faulty.
........................
but it works from the oe dump vacuum line??????
chuck the dv in the bin, it will just cause you constant problems...
that should solve your problem....
Cant be anything to do with the AFM..
my dump valve hasn't caused me any problems for the 2 years its been on my car!
not sure what it could be to be honest hun....

What dump valve did you buy? In what way does it not work?
Its a Bailey DV26D.
When fitted to his car is really quite when plumbed into the fuel pressure reg with the one way valve and when 'T' ed off the back of the block doesnt work at all.
When fitted to my car (plumbed into the fuel pressure reg with the one way valve) its twice as loud.
Regal (Where he brought it) told him it could be his AMM causing low vacume

Regal (Where he brought it) told him it could be his AMM causing low vacumeErr... wtf?
Possibly a boost leak of the vacuum pipes. Check that first. Also check the vacuum box is not leeking. I'm not running my DV26D with the OE valve operational and I'm not having any issues. I've connected right off the FPR.
try it this way...
oe valve fully connected to where it should be. and the 26d T'd into the fuel vacuum line, and bin the one-way valve. it will run much smoother with both working.
Without the one way valve it's even quiter.
Without it it's like opening a can of coke its that quiet
mate, iv got my oe valve connected, bailey connected to the FPR line plus my boost gauge is piggy backin off this line, and its dumpibg fine. why are using the one way valve, if you have got it connected how it should be?
just looked above and you say it sounds louder on your car? if this is the case then his turbo is not running full pressure and must have a leak, or boost problems.
If you connect it how it 'should be' (Acording to Bailey and Regal) you need to fit a spacer to dissable the standard one and not take it of the fuel pressure reg but from the back of the block.
We now know that its better to connect it to the fuel pressure reg but why?????????
All the oneway valve does is do the same job as the spacer but does let some vacume past (About 10%) which is why it runs better with a one way valve and not the spacer.
(This isnt my car we are talking about its the guys who started the thread but I have been helpping as mine is running fine with WITH the one way valve (Better than without it))

ok to put a few issues straight.
when my dump valve dv26d is connected to the oe dump dump valve vacuum line before the one way valve it is ok. it dumps!!! not to loud though.
with the oe dump valve line vacuum line in connected to the block and to the turbo below actuator and the dv26d connected to the fpr it is very quite just like opening a can of coke.
how do i check my vacuum pipe or the vacuum box!!! where is it.

Under the inlet manifold. You will feel a load of vacuum pipes connected to it.
