Turbo seals????????

Just got back off my holiday and when I was driving my coupe turbo up some hills (Car under load and turbo spining) I was getting a bit of smoke out the back. Not loads but enough to notice in the day time.
Also if I accelerated hard in 2nd or 3rd then used engine breaking as soon as I spun up the turbo there was more smoke visable.

I have been having oil smells and loosing oil for a while but no oil leaks on the road.

Apart from ther oil smell and smoke the car drives and boosts fine.

Does this sound like turbo seals? If it does where can it be sorted and how much? Or do you have to get a recon turbo??????

I was losing oil through my turbo but that was down to using too thin an oil. But doesn't look good im afraid, at least its only under heay load that the seals are giving way. Couldn't say how long it will last, still hybrid turbo time :D

Hybrid's are stupid money at the moment being around the £750 upwards mark.

True, don't know how much a reconditioned one would cost sorry, i imagine £400 ish maybe:confused:
