is it on the block? like most of the astra g's
Aren't they all behind the driver's side kick panel?

not on the new cars most are on the head of the engine
Should be mounted on the side of the battery iirc.
1.8 and 2.2 have them mounted on the engine.
Why do you want to get to it?
It's inside the front fender on the drivers side, behind and on top of the tire.. (atleast is on left-hand drive models). There goes two thick wires to the box, you get the wires off by pullin out lockpins on both ends of the box/wires(the lock pins stay on the box). Then you slide the box down still opening two claws that keep it up.
Hope this helps..and is undertandable.. :?

pine that one is the cooling ecu, the one in the kick panel is the central locking etc etc

ive bought stolen recoverd astra diesal cheap, but now its turning into nightmare, they have knicked the ecu and transponder immob part, vaux can get me new key to match ecu,but i think its gone all relays and ecu's are gone,so its turning into a bad buy..with everything gone im finding it hard to see were ecu would have been
Simon-DTI: cooling ecu is on the left in front of the tire inside bumber/fender, I know.., centrallocking etc. I don't know  . BUT two weeks ago I got my ecu software done or tried one software :) so I bet it is inside the front fender up/behind left front tire, inside the plastic inner fender. You access the ecu by turning tires all the way to the left and look up(if nessecary, remove the inner plastic fender). If it's in a different place in right hand drive cars, no comment on that..
