The thing is my astra g z20let is running like a bag of shit, under load it will just cut off all power and not pick up but still holdin boost, then if a back off and floor it again it will pick up,after takin it to the nearest vauxhall dealer, they told me it was an ecu problem,so after buyin an ecu and fitting it the car is still the same. it only seems to doing this and about 4000 rpm, it puts the light on with the car with the spanner though it, its really startin to boil me now. anyone with any ideas,av checked all the things av read on posts about this problem and hasn't worked any help wouldn't go a miss, cheers geoff

Read the fault codes ... use the brake/gas pedal trick!

My guess right now would be theres somethin wrong with fly by wire servo motor maybe it doesnt always open the throttle fully.

sorry air mass meter the bit in between the air box and cross over pipe it measures the air into the intake to tell ecu how much fuel etc very very common on zlet to go and brings up a few different symptoms as said b4 i had 1 go and then another under warranty as only few months old and that brought up the re set ecu on a snap on code reader as thats all i could get hold of at the time

I don't think one of the sensors can call a "ECU problem" fault code. Did u install the new ECU yourself or at least watched being done? ECU problem means ECU problem I think ... What is the exact fault code number?
