Hi, can anyone in the Leicester area who knows about z20lets and VXR Turbos help me?

I had my VXR turbo fitted to my mk4 GSi in november, and it seems to be what sounds like blowing! It still boosts and pulls as it should just when you lift off the throttle it sounds like its blowing! I can't see any oil leaks and am unsure as to whats wrong!

I got it fitted at Courtenay and its a good drive so i'd rather not have to go all the way back if there's nothing wrong, Just looking for someone to either tell me there's something wrong or tell me thats how its supposed to sound. Can anyone help?

Cheers

Alex

Do you know what the problem was or is that just how they sound?

The top manifold stud on the drivers side (near the thermostat) is prone to breaking off (mine has).

Try to tighten it, but not to wring it off.

Absolute Legend, I just went and checked and quite a few of the manifold studs are loose, you don't happen to know how much to torque the studs up by do you, as I don't want to over tighten them! :)

The torque setting is very low, I'd tighten then to hand tight, but do not over tighten them as the head is may of alloy!
