View Full Version : 2.2 airbox problems
fitted my 2.2 airbox today,all fitted nicely then started it and the traction control light came on and spanner light came on.i put it back to normal afterwards (cross over pipe),the traction control still stays on,but now instead of the spanner light its now the engine light comin on?can anyone give me advice why that is?

hey! ive got the 2.2 setup and had the same issues! it has now not become so regular but i recently had a rolling road day and courtenays and they said the air flow meter was faulty and causing the engine to run lean so im on the hunt for maybe a vxr afm!!!
did the dash lights just go away?? ive also noticed that when i use to rev i could hear the dump valve at just over 2000rpm.now i can only hear it at 3000rpm.

Check to see if the wires on the AFM has not come out, Have you extended them??? Make sure the AFM arrow is pointed towards the turbo;)
that was it,one of the wires in the afm plug has come out.its the blue and white stripe one.can some one have a quick look at theres to see which number socket it goes in.....its either 1 or 5.thanks guys

The AFM plug wires are Red/white, Brown, Red and Blue/white not sure what number but it's the last one it should be easy to work out from that;)

yep i got it,the traction control light is now workin but the emisions light (the engine light) is still on.
