Well just wondered if anyone has had a noise like this before, when the engine is at idle I am getting a clunking sound say every second & Half from around the bottom of the cambelt area, I stripped the upper cover off and loosened the lower one as is looks like you need to remove the engine mounting to remove it so i didn't, it has had a full cambelt kit before I bought the car & water pump so what do you think it could be? it sound's almost like the belt is hitting the inner plastic cover, but the tension on the belt is fine & the belt looks fine  any help will be great. :)

start the engine up with the cover off. Take a look at the tensioner and see if the needle is hitting and end stop when it is vibratinbg. It may need tightening or loosening slightly. If it does need an adjustment do it when the engine is fully cold
