Hi Peops

Quick question, my turbo being replaced shortly, but since ive had the blue smoke puffing out tremendously, my engine management light is on...ive got a mechanic who knows his turbo cars, he thinks the light is on due to the oil fumes going through the exhaust system as they may be a sensor there...what do you guys reckon? let me know asap...its been on every since ive had the bad smoke...am i right in knowing that there is a CO2 sensor on the exhaust system?

There are two O2 (not CO2) sensors within the exhaust system, and yes, they may be lagged in oil causing the fault light.

ohh, i figured so...so when i swap the turbo which is happening as we speak probably, what shall i do...with regards to my exhaust system? someone told me it will take about 2 days driving or so before the oil completly burns out...

Just clean or change the sensors.

the first sensor is on the pre cat/downpipe and the second is after the main cat underneath
