Hi just a quickie i've got an astra g coupe turbo on stage one with a straight through, has anyone ellse had their clutch start to go on phase 1 or simular? What clutch kit do you guys and girls recamend? is their anything ellse that needs to be replaced at the same time i'm hearing a thrust bearing? Thanks in advance for your help.
i too am looking for a new clutch but i'm unsure which 1. i've started a poll to see opinions. best to change the clutch slave cylinder too(trust bearing)
My clutch slipped a little when my car was standard and then i've had phase 2 for a year and a half and its slipping really badly.
there seams to be about 4 of us at the moment all with clutchs slipping lol.
Take a look at the other clutch thread i posted some info on the helix clutch i'm looking at getting.
just need to sort out a flywheel now
Yeah it seems loads have gone with the helix clutch..... It holds the power of a phase 3.5 and drives like standard so i'll be happy...
Which release bearing or clutch slave cylinder(whatever you call it) are you getting?
Just a normal Vauxhall item? i'm going to order my helix organic clutch and cover plate tomorrow

Getting a Vx Thrust Bearing it's good enough for the job at hand;)
Yeah there is not an uprated part just the vauxhall one...
Do LMF sell genuine vauxhall ones?? How much from them?
how much vaux trade price?
its not in the trade club book. it just has the full clutch kit clutch, cover and bearing for £174 trade or £261 retail
Think it was about 60-65 +VAT something like that can't remember for sure

About £68 from Vx Trade price couldn't find it in the book either a bit pans if you ask me seen as they have clutch kits in their:rolleyes:
