i had my new turbo and water mod fitted yesterday and car has been fine untill about 15 minutes ago when one of the new water mod pipes (the one going from the turbo to the cooland bottle) split, i know the reason for this which is because of my front mount i had to move the rad back which ment that the fan plug in thingy (technical i know lol) had to be trimed so that it wasnt touching this pipe from the turbo to coolant box.

this is the pipe i mean below the actuator and the fan plug is below the pipe

anyway this is my question can i turn this nut

so that the pipe can stay in its same position or could i relocate the fan plug?

without seeing the car in person I can't give a definite answer. If you mean can you turn the shiny bolt then the answer is yes, it's a bolt with a thread so it will turn. If you mean can you flip it so the spout is the other way then the answer is only if there is enough room. The engine rocks back and forth quite a bit so that pipe is going to get wrecked for sure where it is. Can you move the fan plug? Only if you can dismantle what is there and put it somewhere else. Can you move the rad forward a bit? Meaning modify the modification you already have. This is a case of you have to use common sense, a bit of experimentation bolts, washers, nuts, bits of metal, drill, file etc

If a garage fitted this I would march straight round and shout at someone. Afraid to say it was obvious that that pipe and connect would never work together as they are

i think i will be able to sort it i just need to bring that pipe round abit cut the pipe where the split is and pop the pipe back on just need the right tools ie a 55 torx screwdriver ( i bought a 50 thinking it would be big enough:rolleyes: ) should be an easy fix

glad you posted this thread as I have a cooling kit to fit to my bus and the rad has been spaced back on that too
