Smelly Heater

Just wondered if anyone has any ideas about this.

When using the heater/blower for a while it starts to smell a bit, llittle bit like a burning smell.

This occurs whether using Air con or not

52 plate GSi

Any idea whats causing the problem?

Could be the blower motor itself on the fritz.
Also, run your engine for a few minutes without the fan on, see if the 'burning' smell is present.Any aromas in the engine bay will get drawn into the ventilation system and spewed into the cabin.
