View Full Version : Faulty AFM?
Been having problems with very lumpy power.. Thought it may have been an air leek but have notice 3 time now that the t/c light has come on and stayed on. I have done a search and noticed this can point towards to AFM. She has a VXR AFM fitted.. Does it sound like this is my problem?? :neutral: Anybody know how much a new VXR AFM is from Vauxhall??

if u have faulty AFM you will have either engine light or spanner and traction control light on, idles erracticly and will get worse like cutting out

didnt think the vxr had the same prob as let ones,is it a zlet you have wiv vxr afm on if so who done the re map to allow the vxr one on lumpy power would sugest to me boost valve or actuator
Ahhh no... Its just the t/c light on... Although I had read a few other threads where they have had just the tc light on...

from experience im on my 5th afm, you get both lights, idles erracticly round 500-750 rpm as said vxr afm not as bad as the zlet ones. how long TC light been on?
see if u can borrow a code reader, that will give you the fault code

Well it is running at 293bhp (According to Regal) she has all her work done at Courtenay and Regal. She has a 9ltr intercooler from Courtenay. She has a VXR turbo. The VXR AFM and Injectors where fitted by Regal in Jan and was remapped to suit at the same time and also had the regal switch fitted.
A lot of you will probably recognise her... Here's a pic of her..
