T/C light came on...
No power...
Rolled to the side of the motorway...
Dipped the clutch...
Car died...
Turned her off...
Turned her back on again...
Started straight away...
Y? Y? Y?....
Any1 had that happened 2 them??
Any1 know y it happened?

Exactly the same happened to me last year, took it to Vauxhall as it was under warrenty and they diagnosed it as a faulty connection in the loom behind the battery, apparently its well known in Vaux circles but i dont think it was a recall. They replaced the part of the loom that was at fault but it did it again on the way to PV but as it was out of warrenty i havent taken it back so the problem obviously wasnt fixed.
Did you have the cruise control on at the time? Both times mine did it i had the cruise on and had accellerated to overtake someone. Not used the cruise since tho

put my foot down 2 ova take an it died...

My t/c light comes on quite frequently, but i've been having a bad run of lately with vauxhall garages so who else could check this by computer?
not sure m8!

i have trouble with my t/c light that seems to come on when traveling doen motoreays etc when doing arouind 80 mph, thinki its to do with my dump valve where it seems to leak at certain speeds never got theat perfect.

TC light is normally good sign of AFM on its way out. Mine came on the other day with EML flicking on and off. I am pretty sure its the AFM

had the same thing happen to me last year. exaclty the same scenario too. hasnt happened since then.
